INTERVIEW

How long have you been working at Ventós?
Explain to us your day-to-day management
My day-to-day consists of coordinating my team and together attending to all customer requests, forwarding them to the corresponding departments and ensuring they are answered with satisfactory solutions.
What sets Ventós apart in the market?
Ventós stands out for its effectiveness and excellent service, designed and oriented to meet customer needs. I have been fortunate to witness, year after year, the growth of the Ventós brand, today recognized for its quality and the trust it inspires in our customers and suppliers.
What do you like most about your work?
The part I prefer most about my work is the opportunity to meet with clients, converse with them, and listen to their needs, concerns, and suggestions, but also to get to know the people behind a simple email signature.
What would you mix a Gin and tonic with?
Depending on the day, I would opt for a citric herbal combination, such as lime and basil or an acidic/spiced combination, such as allspice, ginger, tamarind.
What smells transport you to your childhood?
The smell of tomato leaves reminds me of when, with my family, we prepared tomato sauce preserves for the whole year. For me it is a happy memory because for a few days my entire family would gather: it all started with my grandfather who woke my cousins and me very early to unload the boxes of tomatoes. The process continued with a wash with hoses and we competed to see who removed the most fruit peduncles. This last process impregnated my fingers with the typical smell of tomato leaves, which today, brings me a smile.
Your ideal vacation destination? What would your perfect vacation be like?
A beach, sun, crystal-clear water, few people, a few beers, friends and family. I don't need anything else.
Is there any talent or curiosity of yours that people are usually surprised to learn about when they meet you?
No talents, but plenty of curiosities: I enjoy craftsmanship and building and fixing anything. Before buying or throwing something away, I usually evaluate if I can build or repair it with my own hands. This has led me to have many hobbies, such as making craft beers, ice creams, restoring mirrors, building furniture, etc.
What style of music do you listen to? Favorite singer/artist?
I listen to a bit of everything, but my favorite style is Reggae, especially its Roots variant from the 70s/80s. It's a cheerful style and goes well with my character. I especially highlight Toots & the Maytals, Israel Vibration and of course Bob Marley.
What is your favorite hobby?
Lately I've been dedicating myself to caring for my little trees (I have more than 60) to transform them into bonsais. I especially enjoy observing them in the morning while I have my first coffee and imagine the shape and orientation I will give them.
What is the best advice you have received in the workplace?
Be prudent and not answer immediately to emails or questions that alter my mood in any way. A "hot" response is hardly the correct one, nor probably the second version. Better to buy time or leave the answer in a draft and re-evaluate it at a later time, after some time has passed.
If you could have a superpower for one day, which one would you choose and why?
If I could have a superpower for a day, I would choose the ability to make any wish come true. Even if it only lasted 24 hours, I'm sure it would be an unforgettable experience.
