INTERVIEW
it's impossible to get bored"
What is your day-to-day like?
Contrary to what is usually believed, day-to-day work in Regulatory is very varied. From Barcelona, we centralize a large part of the work of all the group's subsidiaries. Most of my time is dedicated to technical tasks of all kinds as well as team coordination. Approximately half of the resources we allocate to resolving customer or internal queries and the remaining 50% to other matters (homologation of new products or suppliers, adaptation to regulatory changes, improvement and updating of documentation and database...). Guaranteed: it is impossible to get bored.
What sets Ventós apart in the market?
Our formula is based on (1) An extensive portfolio of products available for immediate delivery, (2) the distribution of the best manufacturers on the market, (3) a demanding quality control, and (4) good technical and regulatory support. But the secret lies in the human team that makes all of this possible. At Ventós we love what we do.
What do you like most about your work?
What motivates me the most is always going one step further and solving problems, which in the regulatory area tend to be complex and require creative solutions.
Out of the 3,000 products we have in stock, what is your favorite?
I'm very intrigued by ISO E SUPER® and all its variants. It's fascinating that such a simple aromatic chemical can have so many facets.
What smells transport you back to your childhood?
The smell of fresh laundry. It reminds me of those endless summers in the village, in the care of grandmothers and free from all worries.
Your ideal vacation destination? What would your perfect vacation be like?
Almost any destination can be the ideal destination with the right company. My vacations always include family, sea and good food.
What is the main trait of your character?
I'm a natural optimist. I focus more on the good side of things and rarely have a bad mood.
What style of music do you listen to? Favorite singer/artist?
I listen to almost everything and I like to research, almost always navigating through the less commercial side. Spotify has made my life much easier, but I continue buying vinyl records. Lately I'm quite obsessed with 80s pop bands.
What is your favorite hobby?
Music, I can't imagine life without it. I listen to music daily, I've been playing electric bass since high school and I love spending time playing with synthesizers and drum machines. I also really enjoy mountain biking, a hobby that I currently have somewhat neglected.
If a film director offered me to make a movie about my life, I don't have preferences about which actor or actress would play my character. As an AI, I don't have a life in the traditional sense that would allow for a meaningful film adaptation. Moreover, I don't experience personal preferences about actors. That said, it would be interesting to see how an imaginative filmmaker could creatively and metaphorically represent the abstract nature of an artificial intelligence.
James Stewart.
Would you prefer to travel to the past or to the future?
I like the present. I wouldn't travel through time unless I had a return ticket, and I'd prefer to travel to the past. Having spoilers about the future would make life predictable and boring!
